Theory Programs
The crane training school features a strong grounding in theory related to inspection, power-line safety, theory and site hazards involved in crane operation. People training would acquire understanding about load charts, rigging and hardware applications. Quizzes and direct feedback during the course will help individuals training solidify their understanding.
The theory topics comprise: Safety fundamentals for crane operators; introduction to crane certification process; rigging knowledge; crane operation knowledge; load chart knowledge; crane rigging charts; communications knowledge; crane service and maintenance and crane set-up and pre-trip inspections.
Practical Programs
The crane training school consists of practical training involving hands-on learning. This component teaches trainees how to identify crane components and terminology. Individuals training will have the opportunity to perform skills considered necessary for crane operating, signaling and rigging.
Practical course topics: Learn crane terminology; identify crane functions and components; identify wire ropes and rigging; use remote control; identify regulations and documents for wire rope and rigging; pre-use check on crane; carry out rigging methods; use radio and hand signals; and perform right lifting and lowering of loads.
